CRYSTAL        KIRKMAN

I am a graphic designer and communicator with over a decade of experience who has a passion to share the love of Jesus with others. As my amazing coworkers describe me, I'm "the ideas lady," detail-oriented, and funny.

I'm the Communications Director at First Christian Church in Decatur, IL. Long story short, I didn't start in the ministry or graphic design. In fact, I have a Bachelors in Finance from the University of Illinois (I-L-L-I-N-I!). After graduation, I worked for eight years at Archer Daniels Midland Company as an ocean freight accountant allowing me to travel the world.

However, I felt a call to ministry and took a "risk" by abandoning my corporate job to work at my home church leading community missions. Little by little, I found exactly what God had created me to do: be a church communicator and graphic designer. The rest is history . . .

I'm married to my best friend, Tony, and we have two sweet little guys, Isaac and Christopher. I love spending time with my family, hiking, reading the bible, and watching PBS.
